At Impos, we empower you to select the payments provider that best fits your business – partnering only with the most trusted names in the industry.
Impos is an Australian hospitality point of sale system with EFTPOS integrated from the day it is installed. Your terminal and your POS are connected, so the sale total moves between them automatically and your staff never key an amount in twice. We have been building POS software for Australian venues since 2006, and the system now runs in more than 3,000 hospitality venues around the country.
Integrated EFTPOS is a direct connection between your point of sale system and your EFTPOS terminal. When an order is finalised on the POS, the sale total is sent straight to the terminal. The customer taps, and the result is written back against that order automatically.
Without integration, the two devices do not talk to each other. A staff member reads the total off the register, keys it into the terminal by hand, waits for the customer to pay, then closes the sale on the POS separately. It works, but it adds a few seconds to every transaction and it introduces the one thing a busy venue cannot afford at peak: a manual step where the wrong number can be typed.
Those few seconds compound. A cafe running 400 transactions across a morning is spending real service time on rekeying, and every mistyped total becomes an end-of-day reconciliation problem that somebody has to unpick. Integrated EFTPOS removes the step entirely.
Because the payment is tied to the order rather than entered as a loose number, your sales reporting and your settlement figures describe the same transactions.
That is the part venue managers notice within the first week.
Our expert team will help you find the perfect end-to-end POS and Payments bundle, designed to boost sales, reduce costs, and eliminate monthly fees. Every solution we deliver is built to drive success for your hospitality venue while enhancing the customer experience at every touchpoint.
Being provider-agnostic matters more than it sounds. Some POS systems will only process payments through their own in-house rails, which means the moment you choose the POS you have also chosen your payment provider and your rate, with no way to move without replacing both. Impos does not work that way. Your POS decision and your payments decision stay separate, so you can take your rate to market, keep an existing banking relationship if it suits you, or change providers later without ripping out the system your staff already know.
Impos connects with a wide range of payment providers and accepts any payment method across any sales channel, so the terminal in your venue can be chosen on its merits rather than on what your POS will tolerate.
Peak service is where the seconds show. Removing the rekey from every transaction shortens the queue at the counter and gets the next order started sooner. In a quick service venue or a morning cafe rush, that is measurable in covers.
Push the transaction from the POS to a portable terminal and take it to the table. The guest pays where they are sitting, the sale closes against their order, and your floor staff are not walking the room twice to sort out a payment that was already made.
A table of ten wanting to pay separately is a normal Friday, not an edge case. Impos handles the split from the POS and sends each portion to the terminal, so nobody is dividing a total on a calculator while the queue builds behind them.
Open tabs, transfer them between staff, move them between tables and close them out to the terminal, with the payment recorded against the tab rather than entered as a standalone amount.
When every card payment is attached to the order that generated it, your daily takings reconcile against your sales reporting instead of being compared to it. Fewer variances means less time spent at close, and a clearer picture of what actually sold.
Hospitality turnover is what it is. Integrated EFTPOS takes a step out of the process a new staff member has to learn, which is one less thing to get wrong in their first week on the floor.
An outage during service is the scenario every venue owner asks about, and it is a fair question to put to any POS provider before you sign.
Impos runs on your venue’s own secure network, so the system does not depend on an internet connection to perform its core functions. If your connection drops, your sales data for that period is stored locally in the system, and your reports and third-party integrations sync back up once you are online again. The system also takes a snapshot of your sales data every 24 hours, so your information is backed up to within a day.
Worth being straight about the limit: a fault with your internet service itself is a matter for your provider, not something a POS system can resolve. What Impos is built to do is keep you trading while you sort it out.
Impos can have a new system up and running in your venue in two weeks, start to finish. That covers digitising your menu, confirming your equipment and terminal locations, and setting up the hardware onsite. Our tech team works through it with you rather than posting you a box and wishing you luck.
Live training runs in two modules of roughly two hours each. Basic Training covers Front Office, Back Office and Reporting, which is enough to open the doors. Advanced Training covers Membership, Stock and Advanced Reporting for the people who will be running the back end. If you take on new managers later, or you want to push further into stock control, additional sessions can be arranged through your Account Manager.
Support is local and available 24 hours a day, because hospitality does not run nine to five and neither do we.
The $0 cost EFTPOS option is genuinely strong, and it is not for every venue. Rather than leave the detail in the fine print, here is what qualifying involves:
If that fits your venue, it removes a meaningful running cost from your P&L. If it does not, that is not the end of the conversation. Our team will look at your turnover, your average transaction value and your venue type, and quote you on the payment options that suit the business you actually run. Talk to us before you assume you are in or out.
Impos is built for hospitality specifically, not adapted from a retail system. The bundle is used across the full range of venue types we support:
Integrated EFTPOS is a direct connection between your POS system and your EFTPOS terminal. The sale total is sent from the POS to the terminal automatically, so your staff do not key the amount in by hand. It speeds up each transaction and removes a common source of error.
