It’s official – Australians love their vino. According to new research, the most consumed drink in the country is wine, and the vast majority of those drinking it are female.

Australia’s leading Consumer, Industry and Market Research company, Roy Morgan, has done the hard yards and found that 45.1 percent of Aussie adults drink wine in any given four week period.

 

During 2015, 4.6 million Australian women drank some kind of wine in an average four weeks, compared to 3.7 million of men. Of the wine consumed, white wine proved to be the most popular drop amongst female drinkers coming in at 69.3 percent. This is followed by red wine (56.3 percent), sparkling (42.3 percent) and fortified (9.3 percent). In addition to this, 18.4 percent of female wine drinkers say that they drink red, white and sparkling wine in any given four-week period.

The wine list perfectly matches the produce-oriented bistro with a menu built in market fresh, seasonal ingredients. The wine is fresh and natural and the bar is open all day – not that you needed any more of a reason to go?
