Mother’s Day is fast approaching, and we wanted to provide the hot tip:- when Mum says she doesn’t want a fuss, she’s lying! Here we explore some cracker Impos venues to spoil Mum – whether looking for a casual brunch, lunch or a special dinner. Just don’t forget to book!

Tonka – Melbourne

Tonka is a modern Indian restaurant just off Flinders Lane, down one of Melbourne’s iconic laneways, Duckboard Place. It’s a stunning award-winning venue with an electric ambiance, the perfect setting for a fancy lunch or dinner.

The team are celebrating Mums this year with their most popular dishes from their menu like Pani Puri, Lamb Rogan Josh and a special dessert made by their Chef Ricky for $99pp. They are also doing a special for kids for just $30 with their famous butter chicken, naan, rice and dessert. Perfection.

Forresters – Sydney

Forresters or the Forry as it’s affectionately known, is split into four seperate spaces to drink and dine. The Public Bar up front is where to go for an afternoon pint, and has retained much of the pub’s original character, with exposed timber beams and weathered hardwood floors. Phylli’s is a complete contrast – a bright dining room filled with plants and splashed with a mural by Sydney artist Mielo.

Spoil Mum with their Bottomless Lunch in Phylli’s with frozen margs, bubbles and beer! Sip the arvo away with Mumma while grazing on dishes in their garden oasis.

Fosh – Brisbane

Fosh is the perfect setting for a leasurely lunch or dinner with Mum and reimagines modern Australian Seafood and the way you enjoy it. From the ocean to your plate, their seafood is line caught and served within 24 hours and served alongside fresh Australian produce. Their bar boasts an extensive cocktail and wine list and for those looking for a more casual affair, FoshTails Fish & Chippery provides casual dining under the umbrellas on a walk-in basis.

Spoil Mum with their Fosh Sunset Sunday Banquet – dive into delicious dishes such as whipped taramasalata, oysters, Kingfish, BBQ King prawns, spaghetti marinara, BBQ cod, and sides of course with a decadent dessert – a 10-piece feast for just $78pp.

Mr & Mrs P – Melbourne

Mr & Mrs P is a beautiful Brighton venue created with love with exposed bricks, chatting diners and an ambience that makes you feel instantly at home. Industrial Edison bulbs are strung from the detailed ceiling adding the perfect amount of mood lighting to this cosy bar and diner. Food is a fusion of casual modern European, and Asian flavours presented in the style of bar snacks and are great to share while sipping on one of the many fun cocktail creations!

Treat your mum to a feast fit for a queen with their talented chefs having curated a delectable ‘Feed Me’ lunch menu for the day that you won’t want to miss. And because every queen deserves a royal toast, they’re including a complimentary glass of Prosecco for Mum!

The Camfield – Perth

The Camfield is located on the picturesque banks of the Swan River on Burswood Peninsula. It is Australia’s largest pub and provides plenty of seating and spaces for a casual drink, long lunch or dinner.  Home to a beautiful beer garden complete with a massive screen, there’s plenty of room for the kids to run around – and it’s dog friendly until 4pm!

Why not take Mum and enjoy a laid-back lunch and enjoy their share-style menu with fresh and local produce and that changes with the seasons. Expect Amelia Park steak sandwiches, chicken parmis, flame-grilled aged steaks, fresh and filling salads plus mouth-watering wood-fired pizzas.
